The Clutter Fairy Weekly #234
Be Thankful for What You Do (and Don’t) Have: Gratitude and Clutter
We learn a lot when we consider the emotions and feelings associated with our possessions. The U.S. Thanksgiving holiday is coming up, so let’s examine feelings of gratitude and how they intersect with the accumulation, management, and disposition of our stuff. In episode #234 of The Clutter Fairy Weekly, Gayle Goddard, professional organizer and owner of The Clutter Fairy in Houston, Texas, explores the role of gratitude in our decision-making and the work of decluttering and organizing.

The Weekly Tittle is an exercise designed to focus your attention on a specific space, aspect, or challenge of decluttering and organizing your home. We assign a new tittle in each webcast/podcast, then check on your progress the following week.
Give Thanks
This week’s assignment is an exercise in gratitude for all the riches in your life that aren’t stuff:
- Reflect on nonmaterial things that have contributed to your happiness, growth, satisfaction, fulfillment, etc., such as people, relationships, ideas, lessons, experiences, journeys, and so on.
- Write down three things for which you’re most grateful this week.
