The Weekly Tittle is an exercise designed to focus your attention on a specific space, aspect, or challenge of decluttering and organizing your home. We assign a new tittle in each webcast/podcast, then check on your progress the following week.
Motivation, Ability, and Organizing Methods
This week’s assignment is to evaluate your approach to organizing in terms of how well it fits your motivation and ability:
- Make a list of factors that are contributing to motivate (or demotivate) you as you work on your organizing projects and goals.
- Think about what circumstances impede your ability to organize. Are there skills you could learn or tools you could add that might increase your ability or simplify the project or task?
- Take a fresh look at the organizing approach or methods that you’ve tried in the past. What worked? What didn’t?
- Consider the organizing approaches we’ve talked about today. Which ones appeal to you the most?
- If you don’t have a clear favorite method, we encourage you to take a deeper dive into the sources we’ll link to in today’s show notes. Evaluate each approach in terms of your motivation and your ability.
