Happy Thanksgiving from The Clutter Fairy Family!
The Clutter Fairy family wishes you and yours a bountiful and harmonious Thanksgiving! We hope that the last year has brought you many things to be thankful for, and that you’re spending the weekend surrounded by family and friends doing things that you love.
We often hear from clients that preparing for the holidays is a stressful experience. The Clutter Fairy fields lots of calls from people who need extra help to get ready for entertaining, houseguests, and all that holiday fun. In the spirit of creating a clutter-free season, we want to offer a few suggestions for simplifying and streamlining the holidays for you and your loved ones:
- Instead of spending money and effort on new decorations this year, set aside family time to tour a neighborhood with great holiday light displays. Or look for a public lighting ceremony or holiday concert in your area.
- Instead of packing your calendar by accepting every invite, select a limited number of events. For the invitations you choose to decline, write and send a short, personal, handwritten thank-you note or holiday message.
- Instead of contributing to everyone else’s clutter problems with more stuff, give gifts of experiences. Think theater, movie, or sporting event tickets, classes or workshops, electronic subscriptions, or massage or spa gift certificates.

Make Space for the Life You Love: Organizing Goals for 2017
Our stuff only becomes clutter when it stands in the way of other things that we want and need, like relationships, comfort, and peace of mind. At the December meeting of the Houston Clutter Coaching Meetup, we’ll examine the many ways that clutter keeps us from living the lives that we dream of, and we’ll set achievable organizing goals for the new year.
If you’re ready to start making plans now to clear your clutter in 2017, please join us on December 7, 2016, as we kick off a year of projects designed to help you remove the clutter that stands in the way of the life you want.
The December meetup doubles as our holiday celebration, so we’ll provide some tasty holiday treats. We’ll also collect donations for Toys for Tots and Goodwill. We invite you to bring an unwrapped new toy or game, or take this opportunity to purge a gently used item or two from your closet for Goodwill.
This event is free and open to the public. Visit the meetup event page to find out more or to RSVP. You may join the meetup group to receive announcements of our monthly meetings, or send us an e-mail message if you’d just like to RSVP for this event.

The Clutter Fairy is available for one-on-one organizing sessions tailored to your needs. We’ll visit your home or office to perform a free assessment of your space and its potential. Call 713-816-9505 or send e-mail to schedule an appointment.
