Here’s your chance to ask Gayle and Ed any question you’re curious about. It need not be related to this survey’s topic(s).I read that patients with dementia are able to do a good job of brushing their teeth on their own, if the bathroom countertop has Only the toothpaste and toothbrush out on it. Instead a bunch of other stuff out on the countertop. I think being able to put most things away in bathroom drawers or behind a cabinet, and take them out only when needed would help allow the mind to focus. Having lots of things out, is definitely convenient, but on the other hand it can be confusing.
I do not have dementia, but I would like to use the idea of putting things out of sight. to help me get other things done. Even doing the dishes, I have too many cleaning supplies out on the kitchen counter, where it is convenient, but also messy. I think that is making me not want to get the dishes done. Just too many different sponges, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, microfiber clothes, dish drying towels, dish drying racks, etc. are out in the open.
Convenience of having lot of object out in the open ....vs. clarity of being able to focus on only one thing at a time.
Convenience vs clarity.
Future topics

family photo decluttering is so emotional and painful for me. any suggestions are welcome. doing them in "small doses" helps, but then I dread the much longer the whole project takes. Most of my friends dump the whole project on their daughters.... so they do not have to deal with the photos at all.
