What are the trouble spots in your daily routine or your family’s routines? In other words, where do you find your habits and routines breaking down on a regular basis?
Examples:
- “I always seem to be about 10 minutes late for everything.”
- “It’s hard for me to get ready to leave the house because I’m not great at stashing my wallet, car keys, and sunglasses where I’ll be able to find them in the morning.”
- “I set good intentions, but I run out of steam late in the day and never manage to finish the day’s chores.”

Supportive Environment, or Not?
What aspects of your home (the size, the layout, the contents, the organization of those contents, other household members, etc.) either contribute to or detract from your ability to cultivate and execute productive and useful routines?
Examples:
- “My house is tiny, so I’ve worked hard toward an ‘everything in its place’ system of organization and habits that support that system.”
- “I can’t get my spouse and children to take responsibility for their own stuff, so I end up wasting a lot of my time at critical moments helping to find their stuff.”
