The Weekly Tittle is an exercise designed to focus your attention on a specific space, aspect, or challenge of decluttering and organizing your home. We assign a new tittle in each webcast/podcast, then check on your progress the following week.
Deck the Halls—Only Less
This week’s assignment is to assess your collection of fall and winter holiday decorations with a view toward creating a simple and uncluttered display:
- Which items are ready to be retired? Discard any decor that’s outlived its usefulness.
- Which decorations do you really love? It’s time to let go of anything that no longer fits your tastes.
- Consider how much space you realistically need or want to decorate. Remove or reduce duplicates and spares from your collection.
- Resist the urge to buy anything new. Surely your lifetime collection is fabulous enough already!
