Please select the statement that best describes your future plans with regard to moving: | I plan to move within the next five years or more. |
Describe any thoughts and feelings that the idea of moving invokes for you, or any positive or negative connotations that moving carries. (This might include memories of past moves, plans for future moves, or your experience with someone else’s move that was significant for you.) | I never want to move like I did the last time - everything was disorganized and too much stuff and I was in terrible pain bone-on-bone in my R hip so my packing was sloppy, my energy very low, etc. |
Consider the present condition of your home and its contents, and then answer this question: If you had to move from your home in a short timeframe, what would the greatest challenges be? | Downsizing if I were moving into a smaller place. Also, there’s few family or friends who could help much as were all seniors and havephysical problems. |
If money, logistics, work, citizenship, travel time, etc., were no obstacle, where would your ideal place to live be? (For example: Ed would like to live in a penthouse in the heart of Rome with a place in the Alban Hills where he’d go on the weekend. He can dream, can’t he?) | I’d like to live up in the mountains in VT or NH, near a stream or lake, w a picturesque town nearby where I could easily shop (or receive delivery from), and have excellent medical facilities not to far away from. I’d have several dogs, maybe even be a temporary foster placement for dogs who are looking for their forever home. I’d have an art studio room where I could create to my hearts content. |
Here’s your chance to ask Gayle and Ed any question you’re curious about. It need not be related to this survey’s topic(s). If we think that your question—and our answer—might be useful or instructive to The Clutter Fairy Weekly audience, we’ll share them in an upcoming episode. | I recently heard the term “clutter-core” as a design style and googled example pix. OMG. I could not even sit in some of the rooms I saw - I felt like I was on sensory overload. Too many different patterns & colors, stuff on every level including lots hanging on walls. Overwhelming to me. What’s your take on this as a “design style”? |
