I am clearing out 30-years of stuff in my attic and keep losing energy and enthusiasm for the project. Some precious items/memories are embedded in boxes of mostly junk. I am having a hard time letting go of things that are half way between precious and junk. I need to be more ruthless in limiting what I keep but I am haunted by having let my brother put an engineering notebook of my father's in the trash, a notebook that would have provided provenance for my father's yard long ivory slide rule. |
