What are your most compelling reasons to reduce clutter and/or to get organized? These may include your personal goals, work objectives, plans, fears, physical limitations, lifestyle choices, family history, etc. | A feeling of peace when I walk in my bedroom. Being able to park my car in the garage. Learning better habits about what to keep as far as paperwork. |
What external factors drive or support your organizing efforts? Think about positive or negative signals from outside yourself that influence your desire or inclination to declutter and organize. (Examples: pressure from your spouse, stuff inherited from elder family members, a need to work from home, etc.) | Stuff that gathered when three family members moved in together. Items I never unpacked from the last move. Reducing keepsakes especially paper keepsakes. Feeling like I can't invite people over because I have to shut my bedroom door. |

(Examples: the urge to start a new hobby, feelings of guilt or shame, a desire to share your surplus with people who need it, etc.) | Lots of shame, feeling like a failure because I didn't recover those chairs, not knowing where to start so not starting. Feeling overwhelmed just seeing the bulk of the stuff in the garage |
What is the most exciting way in which your life will be different when you achieve your organizing goal(s)? | The feeling of Peace when I get home. Being able to do other projects like painting because I don't have to worry about clutter |

I think if I were held responsible for tasks like every other week I might start once I had a plan. I am not skilled in planning or seeing a future that is different. I am curious to see if it's something I could budget in. |
