What obstacles or issues interfere with your ability to address the clutter threats to health and safety in your home? | Procrastination primarily. The big paper project I have daunts me — I need to sort lots and amend income tax returns for a few years. For non-paper items, I’m at an impasse having decluttered so much in the past few years. I’m now to the point I think I want what’s left but on the other hand I know I need to dig deeper so I have even less. In response to one of the questions, much of the stuff that’s “out” is because I just don’t put things away. My closets and cupboards are not overstuffed.
Who is your favorite organizing authority or inspiration besides The Clutter Fairy? | Hard to say — Dana K. White or Diane in Denmark
Here’s your chance to ask Gayle and Ed any question you’re curious about. It need not be related to this survey’s topic(s). If we think that your question—and our answer—might be useful or instructive to The Clutter Fairy Weekly audience, we’ll share them in an upcoming episode. | Is there any hope for my procrastinating ways? I try to do a bit every few days (This month, 126 items out as of 7/28 but most are tiny - jewelry, makeup, socks - so the volume here does the feel any different). How do others with this problem get themselves to stop procrastinating? |
