Select the categories of clutter that you find most difficult to work on. (Since we discovered the technical issue preventing some users from answering the previous question, we’re also offering this simpler format.)
  • Items associated with a person/relationship
  • Photographs (printed or digital)
For the category of stuff you find hardest to declutter or organize, please tell us about how or why this type of stuff trips you up.The heaviness of traumatic/difficult relationships/times are stirred up when going through materials related to these people/events. It becomes a mini-reliving and grieving event that impacts me for days, sometimes weeks. With every move, I say I will
tackle this stuff and purge it. This time I mean it!
What’s your favorite thing to listen to while decluttering?Music or silence.
Here’s your chance to ask Gayle and Ed any question you’re curious about. It need not be related to this survey’s topic(s).I plan to create a blog or some type of shareable digital form of scanned and notated 19th C. - mid-20th C. family photos and documents. The purpose is to share with others and toss/pass along the original thereafter. What are the best and easiest platforms to use? I feel like each time I chose one, it is no longer relevant or active. Even Evernote users are now having difficulty retrieving “notes” scanned and saved - originals long ago tossed. Yikes! Ideas please.
Future topics

Active business home office organization, systems, and purging.
