For the category of stuff you find hardest to declutter or organize, please tell us about how or why this type of stuff trips you up.I find it hardest to let go of items that are valuable such as both grandmothers' and my mom's sets of china, my grandmother's and my mom's set of silverware, my grandmother's and my mom's lead crystal pieces. I have the crystal pieces displayed in my dining room, but the other items are in plastic containers as I have no plans to use them. I've been able to donate items that are valued below $50 (I had my items appraised four years ago), but just can't seem to let go of items that have a greater value.
What’s your favorite thing to listen to while decluttering?Silence. I have to be able to think and make decisions and can't be distracted while doing so.
Here’s your chance to ask Gayle and Ed any question you’re curious about. It need not be related to this survey’s topic(s).Gayle, when you talk about beading, what does that involve? Making necklaces and bracelets? What do you do with your finished projects? Is it the process of making something or the finished product that keeps you doing this craft?
Future topics

Working with a spouse/partner when your decluttering styles are different. I prefer to work by the hour and my spouse tends to work by the job. I know how long I can work until I reach a place where I need to quit because I'm no longer making good decisions; on the other hand, my spouse will keep working because he has the momentum going even though he's making poor decisions and becoming agitated. There are certain areas, like the garage and basement that need both of us to be involved, yet I dread working with him!
