If the category of stuff you find most difficult to work with wasn’t included in the list for the previous question, please describe it here. | Medical equipment (power wheelchair, collators, hospital bed, canes), health items (lots of prescription medications, personal health items). It takes a lot of planning and upkeep to keep pathways clear and yet keep frequently needed items within hands reach. God forbid something falls to floor and I don't have a "grabber or reacher" within reach. I need to hire someone to help me declutter and then someone to clean my home on a regular basis. One thing at a time....limited energy. |
For the category of stuff you find hardest to declutter or organize, please tell us about how or why this type of stuff trips you up. | Mobility issues, poor health, incredible fatigue, physical and mental health issues, lack of stamina, lack of more than a couple of good hours in a 2 or 3 week period. Overwhelmed. |
What’s your favorite thing to listen to while decluttering? | The clutter fairy weekly! I have it playing on the desktop and I will start sorting and decluttering my computer desk. It's a relaxing hour. |
Here’s your chance to ask Gayle and Ed any question you’re curious about. It need not be related to this survey’s topic(s). | How is the book coming along? How to declutter, organize, etc when it's so dang hot outside (and I am inside with the Air Conditioning). Taking stuff to the garage to donate when it's summer in Florida. Nah, I will wait. I have waited this long, it can wait some more. |
Future topics | Navigating when you have a major health crisis, mobility problems, and no family or friends for support. How to arrange household items to "age at home" |
