Name the hobby, craft, art form, or other recreational activity that contributes the most stuff to your living space, including raw materials, tools, equipment, other supplies, reference materials, specialized furniture, etc. | Crocheting |
Reflecting on your answer to the previous question, describe the part of the activity that contributes most to the clutter in your home. Your answer may be based on volume, size, complexity, or any other factor that makes it difficult to store and manage the stuff for your activity. | I have a TV stand full of yarn, a large sofa ottoman full of yarn, a pile of yarn on my sofa, a large plastic bin of yarn, a storage self of yarn and a big pile of bags of yarn on the floor in the corner. So, I guess my answer is that yarn takes up the most space so it's my problem area. I have thousands of ideas of things I want to make. |
Reflecting on your answer to the first question, describe how the cluttered state of stuff related to this activity negatively impacts your ability to carry out or enjoy the activity. | The space I crochet in is a second living room of sorts in my tiny house. When the space is clear my kids and I sit there to talk, watch TV, etc. As it is now there is no room to stretch out on the sofa and relax and visit. |
About how much time do you spend on the activity in question in an average week? | Easily 40 hours a week. |
What is the hobby, craft, art form, or other recreational activity that you think EVERYONE should try? | I know Gayle is going to say beading lol. I think everyone should try any craft with teeny pieces. The bigger the raw supplies are the more space they take up! Ha! |
