Survey #182 Response from Kelley
Pronouns | She/her |
---|---|
Name the hobby, craft, art form, or other recreational activity that contributes the most stuff to your living space, including raw materials, tools, equipment, other supplies, reference materials, specialized furniture, etc. | Card making and scrapbooking |
Reflecting on your answer to the previous question, describe the part of the activity that contributes most to the clutter in your home. Your answer may be based on volume, size, complexity, or any other factor that makes it difficult to store and manage the stuff for your activity. | The volume of supplies takes up the most space--12x12 paper, 8.5x11 paper, stickers, embellishments--along with the stamps for cardmaking. |
Reflecting on your answer to the first question, describe how the cluttered state of stuff related to this activity negatively impacts your ability to carry out or enjoy the activity. | If my work surface isn't clear to start, I find it more difficult to work. The lack of organization or labeling of the supplies (for example paper or stamps not sorted by theme) makes it take longer to find what I'm looking for and that can stifle the creative spirit. Having too much can do the same thing--not knowing what you have or what to choose can cause decision paralysis. |
About how much time do you spend on the activity in question in an average week? | Typically an hour or more a day during the week and longer in the weekend. So, 8+ a week, on average |
What is the hobby, craft, art form, or other recreational activity that you think EVERYONE should try? | Remember the good times in your life, and encouraging others |
