Do you celebrate any holidays in the period from late-October to early-January?Yes
What is your FAVORITE part of the holiday season, and why?We host New Year's dinner with lots of complicated dishes, champagne and great wines!
What is your LEAST FAVORITE part of the holiday season, and why?I've cut down A LOT on decorating and gift giving, and yet I still feel I should do more special things. Social/commercial pressure is strong. I know I would LOVE having Christmas-themed dishes but I also know I'll be the one storing everything away for the rest of the year, like the Christmas tree and decorations that I take down and store alone in January.
How ready is your home for any decorating, gift-wrapping, and/or holiday entertaining that you have planned? It’ll take me a few hours to get ready.
Describe the feeling, emotional state, or “vibe” you’d like for your home to convey to your family and guests during holiday gatherings, meals, and celebrations. We've made food the focus on celebrations, and going outdoors in the snow. Both make the best pictures, and some meals are still talked about years later. Sharing is the vibe.
What gift would you most like to receive this year?Take me back to my grand-parents' house for Christmas.
Here’s your chance to ask Gayle and Ed any question you’re curious about. It need not be related to this survey’s topic(s).Please share your own personal best holiday memories and traditions.
Future topics

Link between purchases and time commitments. Examples:
- The fabric defuzzer that must be recharged every 3 months.
- The cat fountain with a filter to replace every 6 weeks and a pump to clean every 2 weeks.
Just those 2 items are appreciated and useful but... now many things we buy come with their own calendar and make life more complicated.
