How would you rank paper clutter among the categories of stuff that you have difficulty managing? | Paper is my #1 clutter issue. |
For which of the following types of paper clutter would you like to get help and/or advice? (Check all that apply.) |
|
What type of paper clutter that you struggle with did we leave off the list above? | Travel/entertainment “Memory paper” play/event brochures, credit card statements or receipts showing where I visited and when like hotels, restaurants, things we visited - all while travelling including the maps,…keeping to maybe make sense of photos when I get to those, to jog memories. |
Please complete any of the following statements:
| I struggle with paper because the paper is here, there, and everywhere. This would be so much easier if all paper was sorted in like with like. If all medical insurance papers were together in 1 place, if all income tax slips and documents relating to specific years were all in one place (I’m now 4 years behind in filing), if kid’s school stuff was in some kind of sorting and all together, if I could know which file or drawer or in which room to find a paper at a moment’s notice. I feel irresponsible and like an idiot with my disorganization. I also feel like I have to be in a minority. |
Tell us about your most treasured paper item. | Easy. Maybe the composition scribbler my father wrote in when he returned for his school equivalency at age 50. Or the papers my mother wrote future plans on when she was exploring goals and life, around the age of 40. My folks are gone but I can feel their hopes and dreams, and their working to make the world a better place. |
Here’s your chance to ask Gayle and Ed any question you’re curious about. It need not be related to this survey’s topic(s). | If both of you had to pack up and move cross country, with 1 day’s notice, how easy or difficult would it be for each of you to choose what makes it into your car (you pick the size but there are only 2 seats) and what you leave behind to never see again? You decide if you want to have other people or pets in the vehicle. I’m just looking for what you are bringing in a car/suv/van to quickly start brand new life on other side of country. (Think natural disaster or something of the sort that radically changes your life in a matter of hours). Do not assume you have unlimited money and what you’ll need will be readily available across the country. ( for example - can you quickly decide and pack up some art or beading supplies? Do you concentrate on supplies or completed projects? What are you bringing from your kitchen? …) |
Future topics | Emergency packing when your abode will be lost. |
