What is the “canary in the coal mine” that alerts you that your decluttering and organizing habits are starting to slip? In other words, where does clutter first reappear in your life or your home? | My desk is next to my bed. When I get up in the morning and have to move paper from the desk to the bed, then I'm in overload. I'm i already am in overload because I lack other clear surfaces in my room. So there's that. |
What external factors (conditions, circumstances, situations, etc.) or internal conditions (moods, emotional states, health concerns, etc.) tend to disrupt your productive habits and routines or your motivation to declutter and organize? | Periodically I have to work long hours. I try to work on clutter every day, but sometimes I fall behind. I have completed a couple of rooms (hooray) but the remaining ones are depressing. Clearing half the clutter out of a junk room is huge work, but doesn't feel like an accomplishment when the room is still not usable |
Future topics | Have you heard of Dana K White's no mess decluttering method. It's pretty interesting. Taking a different approach from time to time is helpful for me. Thank you |
