What is the “canary in the coal mine” that alerts you that your decluttering and organizing habits are starting to slip? In other words, where does clutter first reappear in your life or your home? | I am outgrowing my bookcase again. Over the past year, i have sold and donated many items, including 2 boats, patio furniture, exercise equipment, 3 old computer chairs, and many more other smaller household and personal items. But, i am outgrowing my book case once more. |
What external factors (conditions, circumstances, situations, etc.) or internal conditions (moods, emotional states, health concerns, etc.) tend to disrupt your productive habits and routines or your motivation to declutter and organize? | I love watching my grandchildren. We also have an older son who has been fighting cancer for the past year that we help care for. All of this takes energy. At the end of the day, I am running on empty and just dont have anymore to give to my house. We are almost there tho, and just need to push through it. |
What was the last item that you decided to keep “just in case”? | It has gotten easier with time of just letting things go. Believe it or not, letting excess spices go has been difficult. We love to cook and use different spices.. |
