Describe an object, collection, or category of items that you’re keeping even though its value, desirability, and/or usefulness to you has significantly diminished over time.Clutter was also "things" I was doing, not just objects I was keeping. . So I stopped making my own greeting cards for my family. Too much time, money, and card crafting clutter...and guilt on their end if they just threw the homemade card out..after all my hard work. Now I am giving them what they really want....which is a small amount gift card, (like to their favorite coffee cafe) tucked inside a very inexpensive. bought greeting card. And I stopped giving cards to children entirely. And instead I gift them a toy or a book.
What’s your favorite thing about summer? And what could you do this week to make more room in your life or your home for your summer fun?The warm fresh air. looking at the lush foliage and flowers. Opening all windows to let the fresh air in feels luxurious. I live in New England, so the house is shut up most of the year.
Here’s your chance to ask Gayle and Ed any question you’re curious about. It need not be related to this survey’s topic(s). If we think that your question—and our answer—might be useful or instructive to The Clutter Fairy Weekly audience, we’ll share them in an upcoming episode.Self care while decluttering. What self care do you do with a declutter project....like the garage ? while decluttering, I often forget to ..,,,,take breaks, drink enough water, wear the right clothing and shoes (spider bites in the basement), bring disposable gloves for messy areas, reward myself both during and afterwards, keep the room temperature cool enough And most important.... make sure my cell phone is with me and within reach. I have to do a better job at self care while decluttering.
Future topics

Decluttering for health. As I am focusing more on my health... what I eat and how I prepare it... that is helping me the most to declutter in my kitchen. I got rid of all of my teflon pots and pans, all my cheap plastic storage containers, and dishes or glasses that contain lead. Pantry is empty of processed food, , as I switch to fresh food.
In the bathroom, as I focus on using less chemicals in skin care, makeup, and hair products, I have eliminated most of all those bottles and tubes.
