Describe a popular myth or misconception about clutter or organizing that you believed in the past, but have now come to see as incorrect. Who or what changed your mind about this idea?If I don’t want to do it I’m either lazy, or a procrastinator.
I was told that I am actually a perfectionist.
Then I remembered having problems in school at 6 and 7 years old getting an assignment completed on time. Everything had to be situated perfectly before I could begin.
My oldest son changed my mind about getting started. He said, “Just do something!” It’s ok if it’s not perfect, just start.
Describe a limiting belief about clutter or organizing that negatively affects your ability or willingness to address your home organization issues. This may be a belief that you inherited, picked up from popular culture, received from friends or family, or came up with all on your own!Just shut the bedroom door after moving stuff in there and deal with it after company leaves and then don’t revisit the clutter or box of clutter hidden in that room.
Here’s your chance to ask Gayle and Ed any question you’re curious about. It need not be related to this survey’s topic(s). If we think that your question—and our answer—might be useful or instructive to The Clutter Fairy Weekly audience, we’ll share them in an upcoming episode.I know how to clean, I just want to understand the best way to get started organizing without having or thinking I have to buy more storage supplies, or a storage building. Also, is there any time you’d think it would be a good idea to rent a storage building? I know that you teach about these subjects over and over, but a refreshed memory is ok for me if you don’t mind. Thanks.

Revisit books and magazines and craft supplies. I want to keep doing things and my husband would love to have a dining table. Our house is too small for both and so far, I’m winning. (Not really our house, but 2 bedrooms and 1 bath). I’m not a hoarder, I’ve decided, just need a bigger space to live in! Suggestions are appreciated.
