Describe an item in your home that you feel as if you couldn’t live without. What meaning or significance does this item hold for you? What feelings does it evoke? Do you love it? Need it? Use it regularly? Feel a sense of obligation about it? (And so on.)I couldn’t live without: Aside from the basics like bed, bathroom, kitchen and books, nowadays it is my laptop and/or my cell phone as they help me keep in touch with friends and family.
If you had to leave your home suddenly with no certainty of ever being able to return, what’s the one thing that you would take with you, and why? For purposes of this question, assume or pretend that you don’t have an emergency evacuation bag or kit prepared, and you only have time to grab one treasured item on your way out the door.My address book as it has info in there too difficult to replace.
