What was your proudest decluttering, organizing, or productivity achievement of 2024? | I’m thinking. That would maybe be getting the yard ready for winter. This year I handled it and I like how everything is neat, orderly, went through a good decluttering, is tarped atop pallets, and will be easy to come back into use after the melting of snow and when green reappears. |
Name two or three areas of your home, categories of stuff, or collections on which you’d like to focus your attention in 2025. | This is smart Gayle and Ed. If I focus on 3 instead of 30 or 300 I will certainly be further ahead. I must think more on this but I’m leaning towards the shelves in my home. Bookshelves, cupboard and cabinet shelves, closet shelves, and shelving unit shelves. None to be purchased. |
What’s the most powerful affirmation, quotation, or aphorism that you repeat to yourself to unleash inspiration or energy when you’ve set your sights on a challenging goal? | You got me there. I should come up with something. |
Future topics | Rituals that work before tackling a task, decluttering/cleaning/organizing session, or a project. I bet some people out there have some that they practice occasionally, rarely, or regularly and which help get them in the right mindspace or zone. And do either of you have any? (On occasion, WHEN I think to do so, I take 1 or more of my affirmation/oracle/or other card deck(s) out, I am already fully dressed and probably wearing my indoor runners, and I try to relax my mind into a positive space. I might ask for strength or support, or I might ask for a card to help me dig deep, or help me change my perception or point of view when I’m at task. Or just the universe putting in its two cents. Mostly it’s not a deep thing, it’s just me drawing one or more cards to put an idea in my open mind. It feels like maybe I’m in communication with the spiritual, or quiet meditation, - it’s like a mind pause. ) |
