What was your proudest decluttering, organizing, or productivity achievement of 2024? | Little bits here and there. But shoes was a major thing as well as old diaries and letters. I could not believe that one friend’s letters from 25 years ago had included so much about her breakup back then! Can yoi imagine that I had been holding onto the ghost of her ex boyfriend??!! I had no idea, having not re-read the letters since then. |
Name two or three areas of your home, categories of stuff, or collections on which you’d like to focus your attention in 2025. | Diaries, continued Crafts And other layers from other categories, Plus- looking at the things I’ve left behind at my parents’ house, plus, things from a desceased relative… |
What’s the most powerful affirmation, quotation, or aphorism that you repeat to yourself to unleash inspiration or energy when you’ve set your sights on a challenging goal? | For me, it’s every bit counts! My mother’s friend had come up with the term: Hoarders in Order- referring to how neatly they were storing their clutter (collections of fabric and decorative items etc…) And my uncle used to use the phrase: Shuffling Shit- referring to false organizing and decluttering where you move objects and organize and then reorganize - I am trying not to be like them!!! |
Here’s your chance to ask Gayle and Ed any question you’re curious about. It need not be related to this survey’s topic(s). If we think that your question—and our answer—might be useful or instructive to The Clutter Fairy Weekly audience, we’ll share them in an upcoming episode. | Do you think it woukd have made sense for you to become organizers at an earlier age- or did things happen - the career transitions etc- at exactly the right time? |
Future topics | Not a topic but to answer a previous question: Would like to name Decluttering with Friends by Carla- as a good YouTube show that I like. She’s I think the only declutterer that I can actually watch go through every single item with someone. The others completely overwhelm me! |
