How often are you troubled by clutter in the kitchen and/or pantry? My kitchen usually has some clutter.
What sources of clutter or specific issues do you experience in the kitchen or pantry?Items left on counters & not where they belong. Other family members bringing home food items & putting them wherever. Dealing with expired items in a timely manner.
What organizing solutions or strategies have you tried or used in the kitchen, and how have they worked—or failed to work—for you?I try to give myself deadlines to clear the counters daily as dishes get done. I write items with dates in sharpie so I can notice them quickly. Throwing items in bins do not work for me. They get lost & forgotten.
What “one-trick pony” resides in your kitchen or pantry? Why do you keep it?A hand tool that scrapes butter into balls. It sounded fun to begin with & I never use it. I just scoop butter on a plate with a spoon or knife.
Future topics

How growing up in different times or cultures can impact our mindset towards keeping & letting go of items.
This mindset can be passed down in families. Some children continue while others choose differently. Some wrestle with decisions due to the deep feelings from the past.
Removing clutter is more difficult to some than others. Often we can look down on ourselves which makes it harder to remove things. We come across those who simply have no idea the emotional process that is dealt with decluttering on a deeper level. This in turn, can make us feel inadequate and unworthy. It’s embarrassing and without people like “The Clutter Fairy”, Dana K White & The Clutter Bug; where would we turn to for help. Minimal Mom talks about inventory management which is a positive spin.
Learning the reasons for the clutter & new ways to manage the inventory in a positive way is so helpful. So thank you for all you do!😃
