How often are you troubled by clutter in the kitchen and/or pantry? | My kitchen usually has some clutter. |
What sources of clutter or specific issues do you experience in the kitchen or pantry? | My kitchen is small and has little counter space. I tend to clutter one counter that is open to the living/dining room and the kitchen. It holds the phone & a notepad, pencil cup, toaster, any fresh fruit that can’t be refrigerated, maybe a container of cookies or some cake after I put most of it in the freezer. Then there’s the other stuff: my key, the phone, whatever mail I was reading when I left the desk, a dirty plate or glass that is on its way to the dishwasher. |
What organizing solutions or strategies have you tried or used in the kitchen, and how have they worked—or failed to work—for you? | I try to clear it off before I go to bed but I’m not very regular in doing that. I have also tried to find another place for the stuff but there just isn’t much room in the kitchen, period. |
What “one-trick pony” resides in your kitchen or pantry? Why do you keep it? | I have a plastic spoon that I rarely use, preferring the wooden ones. |
Future topics | Revisit thinning the clothes closet. |
