Survey #241—Full Response from Granny
How often are you troubled by clutter in the kitchen and/or pantry? | My kitchen usually has some clutter. |
---|---|
What sources of clutter or specific issues do you experience in the kitchen or pantry? | There is no problem using the kitchen, it's just aesthetics. Sometimes it's distracting having too many things on my island, but there's plenty of space. |
What organizing solutions or strategies have you tried or used in the kitchen, and how have they worked—or failed to work—for you? | My pantry is very well organized and it's easy for me to see what I have and what I need to buy. My kitchen is fairly well organized and it's easy to get items into the pantry and out of sight when we have friends/family over for large events and we need the island to serve food. I think the problem with me is that I'm an "out of sight, out of mind" kind of person for certain items. If I think about them, I know where they are exactly, but if I don't see them they don't readily come to mind (food items that may go bad, for example). |
What “one-trick pony” resides in your kitchen or pantry? Why do you keep it? | Juicer machine! You made me remember it and I can't remember when I last used it... |
Future topics | I have a timetable for the year set out (not as detailed as daily, but up to weekly) to finish a project and so far I have done NOTHING on this. How do I get motivated (it's a book project, but requires sorting and scanning photos and documents as well as writing). Please help! |
