Describe ways in which clutter has interfered with your ability to entertain visitors or host guests in your home. | I'm reluctant to entertain if our main rooms are messy, and I don't always have a space to put away the frequently used items because there is old stuff in our cabinets. |
If you could wave a magic wand to make all your clutter disappear or become beautifully organized in an instant, what kinds of entertaining would you like to do in your theoretical “perfect” space? | Hosting game nights somewhere other than my dining room table. There's a space in the basement that would be perfect for it, if only I got rid of some stuff. |
What would you consider the bare minimum requirements you’d need to achieve to get your space into shape for entertaining? | No toys on the floor, candle lit/windows open to freshen the space, clean kitchen, clean toilet and sink, fresh towels, put away mail (esp bank and medical stuff) |
How has your concept of entertaining evolved over the years? Do the materials, equipment, and supplies you possess—such as special cookware, extra tableware, serving dishes, decorations, party games, etc.—still support the types of event you’d like to host? | I have more bowls and platters than I will ever need. We have our favorites and the rest collect dust. |
