Describe ways in which clutter has interfered with your ability to entertain visitors or host guests in your home. | For years we couldn’t have anyone over without a 4 or 5 day cleaning stash and dash frenzy. Now we could have folks over for dinner tonight if we found out in the morning and most of the time would be spent shopping for groceries, cooking, and getting ourselves ready. |
If you could wave a magic wand to make all your clutter disappear or become beautifully organized in an instant, what kinds of entertaining would you like to do in your theoretical “perfect” space? | We now host dinner parties mostly. |
What would you consider the bare minimum requirements you’d need to achieve to get your space into shape for entertaining? | Clean off the catch-all kitchen counter and do the toilets, some 5-minute pick ups in the breakfast nook, kitchen, and living room, probably wet mop the kitchen and bathroom floors |
How has your concept of entertaining evolved over the years? Do the materials, equipment, and supplies you possess—such as special cookware, extra tableware, serving dishes, decorations, party games, etc.—still support the types of event you’d like to host? | Yes, we have all the tablecloths, napkins, cookware, dishes, and table decor ( candles, runners) we need. |
