When you hear the word “minimalism” used to describe a lifestyle, what do you think of? | A spare lifestyle. I will never be a minimalist but am moving to owning much less. |
“The things you own end up owning you.”* To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? How is it relevant to your stuff? | That statement is so true. I heard it in the mid ‘90s from an interior decorator friend. We don’t often think about that statement as we acquire things. I try to be more mindful of it currently. |
Future topics | Perhaps more on decluttering and organizing if you think you might have ADHD. I stumbled across a podcast several years ago that said hormonal changes in menopause cause similar problems as those with ADHD. That struck a chord with me as I was always more organized pre-menopause. My doc assured me I do not have ADHD (too much executive function evident, I presume) so this hormonal shift has always intrigued me and I struggle to try to find routines to help. |
