go clothes shopping with the one-in-one-out-rule in mind.
ask yourself: if I buy this T-Shirt, which one will I get rid of instead?
that way you should only buy things that are at least better than the worst one in your closet.

the good stuff is an area where there is no clutter at all (because everything in the laundry are clothes that we like to wear)
