SarahWhether there is any intrinsic value in the item and whether it will be of benefit to or appreciated by the person recieving them. I do not want the item to be a burden or an obligation. And that extends to charities. Better to accept that the item is garbage and dispose of it as such then pass on the burden of disposing of it to someone else.Their intrinsic value. Is it in good condition. Is it useful. Is it something someone would buy if they had the funds to do so.My dining room table isn't particularly my style. But it is from my grandmother and my aunt. I replaced the chairs that originally went with them gifting them on. But I appreciate having something from them that is of practical use. It was gifted when my aunt was still living and it matters to me that she wanted it to be of use to me. I also have a crockpot she gifted to me. I appreciate gifts that are more than just momentos. My home isn't a museum. Things that I can weave into my daily life always pay their rent.

I always like seeing everyone’s comments. I’m surprised not to see mine here for this survey. I wonder if I submitted it after you collated the data or if it wasn’t received. Curious.

    Diana,

I see one response from a Diana—is it not yours?

It takes me a little while to review and approve the survey responses, but I like to give each one at least a quick glance, just to make sure that I don’t post any inappropriate responses from troublemakers.

Please let me know if yours is still not showing up.

    Thanks,

    Ed
